Go Try Rugby provides a unique set of rugby
coaching courses designed to support the
national curriculum, develop rugby
skills
and motivate key stage one and two children to enjoy sport.


Go Try Rugby was established by former Rugby Union professional Steve Gough. Steve has a wealth of Rugby playing and coaching experience. He has achieved honors at both County and International level and is now a professional RFU coach.

At Go Try Rugby, Steve has developed a range of unique rugby coaching courses, designed to support the National Curriculum, develop rugby skills and motivate children to have fun and enjoy sport.

The coaching courses available have been structured to meet the needs of specific age groups and abilities and all feature Go Try Rugby’s lovable mascot ‘Boot the Ball’

mini boots

Uniquely structured for key stage 1 - 5 to 7 year olds teaching ball skills, coordination, athletic running skills and an understanding of winning, losing and sportsmanship. Read more here>>

Key stage 2, 7 to 8 year olds building on all the principles of Mini Boots whilst teaching the principles of attacking, defending and working together within a team. Read more here>>
